NINA CHANEL ABNEY is a collection of more than 300 works from the prolific contemporary American artist. Abney's expansive repertoire features large-scale paintings, paper works, sculptures, installation, murals, and commercial collaborations that highlight her dynamic abstractions and geometric configurations. Centering themes of race, gender, religion, politics, sex, and art history, the artist redefines cubist painting with the context of the 21st century.
This monograph contains texts by Richard J. Powell, Thelma Golden, and Jazmine Hughes, as well as an interview by Jeffrey Deitch.
